The University of Limpopo hasn’t set the competition alight this year but midfielder Cyril ‘Django’ Ndhlovu is hoping to frustrate his opponents.
The skillful and speedy player described his inclusion in the opening game against UCT as the most enjoyable experience of this year’s campaign.
“I was extremely happy when I made the starting XI. I was even happier when we walked out of the tunnel. Then we scored that first goal and everything fell into place. I really enjoyed my time that night,” he said.
Ndhlovu was born in Bushbuckridge and has modeled his game, and life, around the likes of UL Football Executive Chairperson Comfort Ngwasheng and former Frnch international Zinedine Zidane.
Django is currently doing a Bachelors degree in Education, specializing in his home language of Xitsonga, and plans to own his own private school with the money we hopes to win from the lottery.
