NMMU-Madibaz hope sticking to a winning formula will be the key to unlocking UL in Port Elizabeth on Monday.
Madibaz coach, Graeme Harrison, is sending out the same squad which thrashed UFS-Kovsies 4-0 in Bloemfontein earlier this week.
The battle between NMMU and UFS for a place in the semi-finals will present supporters with a nail-biting finish as the teams are fourth and fifth respectively with seven points from five matches. Madibaz are ahead with a slight goal difference.
Madibaz strikers, Lukhanyo Rasmeni and Simamkele Thobi, have been in good form and Harrison will be hoping for more of the same from the talented pair on Monday.
Embattled UL have made four forced changes to their squad travelling to Port Elizabeth, where they face NMMU-Madibaz on Monday night.
The struggling students from Limpopo have found life difficult in Varsity Football this season. They currently find themselves languishing second from bottom of the Varsity Football standings with just two points from five matches.
However, coach Burney Mampshika wants to finish the season with a flourish by winning their remaining fixtures even though a semi-final berth is no longer on the cards.
Mampshika has brought in two youngsters who will be making their Varsity Football debuts on Monday.
The coach says his team will be going into the match feeling positive and warned the Madibaz to expect a tough clash next week.
