Noza Themba Chauke is a man with big dreams. The Giyani born University of Limpopo footballer has set his sights on playing in the Dutch Eredivisie in the future.
He believes the Dutch play his type of football. However, ‘Pepe’ as Chauke is affectionately known amongst his peers would like to start playing at home, because he says ‘home is where the heart is’.
“I would like to in the PSL, but I want to play for Polokwane City first before moving abroad to play in the Dutch league,” he said.
The 23-year-old said that if he wasn’t a footballer today, he would be following in the footsteps of Cameron van den Burg and Chad le Clos in the swimming pool.
The Media Studies student does not like gossipers and people who lack commitment,
“Commitment is the one thing that determines one’s destiny,” he said.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing nchuva (an indigenous game) and hanging out with his friends. The right-back looks up to Orlando Pirates’ Happy Jele for inspiration.
