As of Thursday evening, 6 October, at 21:30, Varsity Sing is asking the public to cast their vote and select their favourite choir in the FNB Fan Favourite competition. Varsity Sing fans just need to download the free Varsity Sports app off the Google Play or iTunes App store and cast their vote for one of the four finalists: Maties, Up-Tuks, UJ or NMMU. 

The winning choir will be announced at the live final on 13 October and will take home R50 000. Meanwhile, one lucky voter will win R2 000. Voters may vote once per day and voting closes at 12pm on the day of the live final (13 October).

It has been a remarkable debut season for Varsity Sing. And not merely because of the world class performances put on by these phenomenal choirs. It’s the teary-eyed audiences moved by powerful medleys. It’s the thousands of kykNET viewers tuning in every Thursday for an hour of musical bliss. It’s the Twitter followers joining in on the conversation. What’s made the season such a success is Varsity Sing’s die-hard fans.

And now, thanks to FNB, those fans will really have the opportunity to have their say – and be rewarded for it too.

Competition Rules, Terms and Conditions:

1. The prize consists of a R2000 reward that will be EFT to the winner

2. This competition runs from 21:30 on 6 October 2016 to 12:00 on 13 October 2016

3. The promoter is ASEM Varsity Sports (Pty) Ltd.

4. This competition is open to all residents of the Republic of South Africa except any person who is-To stand a chance to win, a participant must sign up to be a Varsity Sports SA app member through the Varsity Sports SA mobile app and then answer the questions in the survey section of the Varsity Sports SA app.

   1. a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant to the promoter or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by, the promoter; or

   2. a supplier of goods or services in connection with the competition.

5. To stand a chance to win, a participant must sign up to be a Varsity Sports SA app member through the Varsity Sports SA mobile app and then answer the questions in the survey section of the Varsity Sports SA app.

6. Entrants may enter once per day.

7. One winner will be chosen via random draw from all entries received during the competition duration.

8. The winner will be contacted via phone or email and their prize delivered electronically or via registered mail, whichever is relevant for the type of prize.

9. The winner will be announced on Varsity Sports social media platforms on 13 October, at the live final.

10. The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged. JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL AND NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERED INTO.

11. ASEM Varsity Sports reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against ASEM Varsity Sports and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against ASEM Varsity Sports.

12. By participating in this competition, you consent to (i) the processing of your personal information by ASEM Varsity Sports and other companies in the ASEM group, any of their operators, commercial partners, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential; (ii) the collection of your personal information from any other source to supplement the personal information which ASEM Varsity Sports has about you; (iii) the retention of your personal information for as long as permitted for legal, regulatory, fraud prevention and marketing purposes; (iv) the use of your personal information to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the ASEM group that may be of interest or value to you.

13. You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying ASEM Varsity Sports in writing or by registering a block on any registry which ASEM Varsity Sports is bound by law to recognise. ASEM Varsity Sports will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. ASEM Varsity Sports will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
