The very first FNB Player of the Match award that Jo Prins, centre court player of Maties has received. She is playing in her third year of Varsity Netball. Her cheque was handed over to her from none other than her father.

Charmaine Baard, goal shooter and goal attack of Maties had a mammoth 66 goal attempts against Kovsies of which they could only sink 36. In a number of matches a whole team did not even have this many attempts at goal.
