UJ turned on the style in Soweto to hand UCT a 6-0 victory and move to the top of the Varsity Football standings.
The Johannesburg side are yet to lose a game in their debut season, and it was another polished display in front of their home fans against a UCT side languishing at the bottom of the table.
The home side took control of the game early on and an early shot on goal from Sandro Claro forced a fine save from UCT goalkeeper Bevan Adonis.
UJ eventually took the lead when striker Pontsho Nyathi got hold of the ball in the box and unleashed his shot on the turn to beat Adonis.
UJ were knocking the ball around nicely, and despite some hard running from UCT it was the home side that was dictating matters.
They went 2-0 up just before half-time, with midfielder Karl Clements beating Adonis with a well-placed effort from outside the box.
It was more of the same at the start of the second half as UJ piled the pressure on in search of their third goal, with UCT forced to hang tough once more.
They did not have to wait long as Ruben De Freitas cut in from the right wing before slamming the ball past Adonis to add to UCT’s misery.
However, they were not done there as Sandro Claro popped up in the box to poach a goal and make it 4-0.
The fifth goal came from replacement striker Lumkile Dava who guided the ball past Adonis after splitting the UCT defence.
