TUT are hoping to spring a surprise on the early Varsity Football frontrunners NWU when the two unbeaten sides meet next week.
After securing consecutive away victories over local rivals UP-Tuks and UWC, the Tshwane side are preparing for their first home game against the formidable NWU outfit from Mafikeng.
Speaking to varsitysportssa.com, TUT striker Doctor Radebe said the secret behind his team’s victory against UWC in the Mother City was hard work and commitment.
“It was a tough game and the pitch was not good. It was slippery and didn’t allow us to play our normal game but credit should go to the guys for hard work and showing commitment throughout the game”, said Radebe who also scored the winning goal for TUT in Cape Town.
Radebe says they are now ready to welcome NWU who beat University of Free State 6-1 in a convincing display in Mafikeng.
“We know them…they beat us 2-1 at USSA last year. We are playing at home this time and looking forward to pay revenge”, said the TUT striker.
