It doesn’t get any easier for the Eastern Cape side, after falling to the bottom of the log, they now face UWC away in search of their first points.
“It can’t be explained in words, nor can it be justified. Losing two home games is not a joke, but that is still not stopping us from finding our groove. Maybe, just maybe, third time is a charm away from home,” said UFH Head Coach, Charles Hanyani.
It has not been an easy campaign this year for the men from Alice, after losing two home games back-to-back without finding the back of the net, one wonders if the road to Cape Town will bring the men from Alice luck as they continue the hunt for their first points.
With games fast running out and the window to a top-four finish closing fast, the University of Fort Hare have hard yards to make. Playing University of Western Cape at home will not be child’s play, as they too are looking to reclaiming their tittle, so maximum points will be the tune of day.
“Apologies to the fans, apologies to the UFH and Alice community; what we had displayed last week and what we had intended to do did not match. It’s a pity the score does not reflect our efforts fully, but I have hope, and trust in my team. Happy days are near,” said captain Siphamandla Zanekile.
