TUT goalkeeper Kgosietsile Ndlovu is hoping to keep another clean sheet when his team host UFS at TUT stadium on Monday.
TUT still remain unbeaten in the tournament after stunning early favourites NWU Mafikeng who they beat 1-0 in Tshwane last week and still remain on top of the log with nine points.
The front-runners will be looking to maintain their top spot when they take on UFS who are still yet to register their first victory in the tournament. UFS are currently in sixth position with only two points after their three games.
Ndlovu says they will not undermine UFS and will approach the game with same mentality and attitude displayed against NWU.
“There are no weak teams in the tournament,” says Ndlovu. “We watched them when played against UWC and they are a very good team. We have spotted weakness in their defence but they look good when going forward,” he added.
TUT reported for camp on Sunday and according to Ndlovu the spirit is high in the camp.
“We are done with our preparations. We had light training session on Monday where we focused most on set pieces. The spirit in the camp is high.We hope to approach the game against UFS with same mentality and attitude that we showed against NWU, ” he said.
The Tourism Management student was part of Kaizer Chiefs reserve team before register for his studies at TUT and is hoping to return to Naturena after completing his studies.
“I played for the Kaizer Chiefs reserve team. I had to stop training with team because of my academic studies. They train at 10am and my classes also start at the same time as training,” Ndlovu said.
