TUT have been hit by few injuries ahead of their Varsity Cup football match against the University of Pretoria at the Tuks Stadium.
The game is set to kick off at 7pm on Monday and is live on Supersport 4.
According to TUT coach,Bushy Moloi seven players have already been ruled out for the clash against Tuks in Tshwane tonight.
“We have 7 players out injured but we have depth in the squad and no reason to complain”, said Moloi
TUT is upbeat for the Varsity Football Cup game against UP and Moloi says was important for his team to start the tournament on a high note.
“We have been ready for the 1st day we knew about this tournament. We are ready for this opportunity and this kind of tournaments it is important to win the first game”, he added.
The spirit and the mood in the campus is very high and students are ready to come in big numbers to support their favourite in their quest for glory in the Varsity Football Cup tournament.
At the moment, the Varsity Football T-shirts are selling like hot cakes since started selling at TUT.
At the time of compiling the story, more than 200 t- shirts were sold ahead of the start of Varsity Football games tonight.
TUT supporters coordinator,Mpho Matenchi said the institution have already organized four buses to ferry students to Tuks to watch the team play against University of Pretoria in what have been dubbed as ‘Tshwane Derby’.
“The response from students has been overwhelming. We have already organized 4 buses to ferry the students to Tuks,” said Matenchi.
