TUT are not ready to give up the fight for a top four position despite losing against UWC in Cape Town on Monday.
TUT was beaten 1-0 by UWC to put a dent in their aspirations of qualifying for the Varsity Football semifinals.
Despite the loss, the Tshwane based side remain third on the log.
TUT midfielder Itumeleng Mogotsi says not all is lost and confident of better outing when they visit NWU-Pukke in their next game.
“It was always not going to be easy playing away from home. We tried our best but luck was not on our side,” said Mogotsi.
“We are still very much in the race and great chance of finishing second to secure spot for semifinal and enjoy home ground advantage,” he added.
TUT are back in Pretoria to begin preparations for their next game against NWU-Pukke.
“The heads are down after disappointing results in Cape Town. We are going back to training tomorrow. We need to rectify the mistakes against UWC and make sure we get the three points against NWU-Pukke,” said the TUT midfielder.
