TUT are looking forward to go all-out on attack when they visit Maties in the Varsity Netball game set for Stellenbosch on Monday.
TUT defied all odds to beat UCT 43-35 in Cape Town last week and now the ladies from Tshwane are determined to keep the Cape their happy hunting ground when they take on the Maties in what promises to be thrill-a-minute game.
Maties are still licking their wounds after beaten 52-29 by NWU on Monday and TUT are also now lookng forward to rub salt on their injury.
TUT coach Mninawa Ndaku said his team was beaming with confidence ahead of their trip to Stellenbosch on Monday.
“It was great feeling to get the victory in our pocket against UCT and it was a a real confidence booster,” said Ndaku.
“It shows that we are getting there and match by match we hope to continue to improve,” he added.
Ndaku also hailed his striking force for the team’s much improved performance and is hoping that his team will be up to the task when facing the Maties on Monday.
“The girls are starting to master how we want them to play and I have been impressed with the way we took our chances upfront against UCT. We are going all-out for attack on Monday. We need to close the space in the middle of the park and attack fearless when we move the ball upfront,” added the TUT coach.
