UP-Tuks will be in search of back-to-back wins in this year’s Varsity Football when they meet NWU-Mafikeng in Pretoria next Monday.
UP-Tuks are confident but grounded after their 3-0 win over UJ according to captain Simbongile Njokwe.
“We have taken a lot of confidence out of our win against UJ,” said Njokwe. “But we know that the UJ win is now in the past and have shifted our focus to NWU-Mafikeng. We owe it to our fans as we dropped our last home game. We must do better,” he added.
UP-Tuks host NWU-Mafikeng on Monday, 8 August at the Tuks Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 18:30 CAT.
