Tuks managed to get their second win of Varsity Hockey when they beat UCT 2-1 in their match in Potchefstroom on Monday.
The side from Pretoria have managed to win two of their three games – which include a 1-1 draw against Maties in their second fixture.
The UCT side would have been hoping to improve after they were beaten 6-1 by Kovsies on Sunday and they put up a brave effort against Tuks and were unlucky after Tuks won it with a late goal.
UCT opened the scoring through a goal from Tracey Green and they would have felt like they had a good chance to get something out of the game but Tuks showed their class to fight back.
The side from the Mother City have only recently been promoted to the A section of USSA after they won the B section last year and they are showing great determination.
The Tuks side had too much for UCT and they scored the equaliser and then got the winner late in the game to break the hearts of the UCT girls.
