Varsity Netball provides a national platform for players to show their worth, but the journey starts at school.
In this year’s Varsity Netball, 88 schools are represented across eight universities. This includes 20 schools that compete in the very successful FNB Classic Clashes series.
Stellenberg has the most Varsity Netball representatives in 2021, with five (Nichole Taljaard and Jean-Marié Orton from Maties, and Courtleigh Behr, Danelle Lochner and Heike Swartz from UWC).
Marias Viljoen has four former pupils involved in this year’s tournament, while five schools – Menlopark, Noordheuwel, Paarl Gimnasium, Hoërskool Rustenburg and Sentraal – have three each.
