The second edition of Varsity Football will feature a ‘foosball’ tournament which will give fans a chance to show off their skills, represent their University and win some great prizes.
Varsity Football kicks off with the first round of fixtures on Monday, July 21 and the foosball contenders will be selected at campus launches around the country.
Each University will have their own internal competition with the foosball matches to be held at the Varsity Sports Foosball campus launches, and the winner at each University walking away with a foosball table for their residence or campus.
The foosball teams from the two sides that make the Varsity Football Final will do battle in the build-up to the big game on September 15.
So grab a friend and accept the challenge by entering a team of two to have a chance at showing off your skills and winning a foosball table.
Registration will take place on the Varsity Sports website – CLICK HERE to enter – and the teams need to submit their entry at least four days prior to the respective Campus Launch days.

Submit your entry at least four days prior to the respective Campus Launch days so you can be considered. There are also two sides that will be chosen on the day just before the event kicks-off as wildcard entries – so get down there even if you have not been pre-selected.
Varsity Foosball rules:
-Two people per team (no reserves or swapping allowed).
-Four minutes games.
-One minute change over.
-Coin toss to determine who starts and to see who throws the ball in through the provided hole in the centre of the foosball table.
– To restart the game the non-scoring team starts by putting the ball throw the provided hole in the centre.
– Team which ends on the most goals wins.
– Point structure is as follows:
Win = 3 points
Draw = 1 point
Loss = 0 points
– If there is a draw in the final the game will continue and it will be golden goal which means the first team to score wins.
