North-West University, Mafikeng Rector Prof Mashudu Davhana-Maselesele has added her voice among well-wishers for the NWU team ahead of their encounter against UP-Tuks on Monday.
The NWU side currently top the standings with three wins and a draw in the first four rounds, but they face a tough trip to Pretoria to face the defending champions in Round Five.
“I am very proud of the boys. With every game there was a remarkable improvement in their game and I am confident that they will be able to keep up the pace during the three remaining games before the playoffs.
“I have total confidence that they will continue to flourish and lift the university flag very high. The University Management and the whole university community will continue to support you” said Prof Maselesele.
North-West University, Mafikeng Campus Management has attended all the three home games of the Varsity Sports Football at the Mafikeng Campus Sports ground ahead of their busy schedule as a symbol of support to the NWU team.
North-West University is currently number top of the Varsity Football log after playing to a draw with NMMU, beating UWC 1-0, edging newcomers University of Limpopo 3-2 and whipping UCT 6-0.
