NWU are fully geared up to settle the score with UP-Tuks who defeated them in both the first match and the final of the USSA tournament in 2012.
The two giants lock horns in a much anticipated game to be played on Monday at the Mafikeng Sports fields.
Both sides have secured their semifinal spots, but they will also be gunning for a top two place at the end of the league phase of the competition to ensure home advantage in the play-offs.
The NWU captain Zakhele Mashiyi said that the team is more than ready for the game against University of Pretoria
“We are looking forward to take revenge against Tuks on Monday. Remember this is the very same team that denied us the USSA Championship in 2012.
“We are presently on position two which we must retain to quality for home advantage in the semifinal,” he asid.
According to the rules of the competition the first and second placed teams at this stage of Cup will play their opening semifinal games in front of their home supporters.
The Mafikeng side are strong favourites as things stand, since throughout the tournament they have not lost a game on their home ground. Their partisan support should cheer them to victory on Monday evening.
