Maties put together a clinical performance to end their round robin matches with a comfortable six wicket victory over Cape rivals UCT.
The result sees them end the league phase of the competition with five wins from their seven games, whilst Ikeys have just the one win against Kovsies to show for their efforts this week.
UCT lost a few wickets up front, with Richard Tissiman and Taariq Chiecktey falling early. But Jack Newby stuck around and got hold of some of the bowlers to make a quick 35 before falling caught (Dewald) Botha and bowled (Niel) Botha.
Brandon Tattum took over and steered the Ikeys to 62/2 at the halfway stage of the innings and needing some late heroics to post a competitive total.
Andrew Mills put together a busy innings of 35 before being stumped off the bowling of Niel Botha, and in the end the Ikeys posted 130/8.
Maties started their innings with a bang as Jean Marais and Jean Bredenkamp took 18 runs off the first over from Riaz Sader to clearly signal their intention of chasing a bonus point.
UCT made the breakthrough after five overs, with Brandon Tattum getting Marais caught behind for 11, and the second came after 10 overs as Riaz Saders struck to leave them 74/2 and needing a run a ball to win.
Bredenkamp went to his half-century and despite a few late wickets he managed to steer his side home to a comfortable win in the end.
