TUT Football Team have received a major boost ahead of their Varsity Football match against UFH on Monday, after both Sipho Sibiya and Elliot Seema were cleared of their injuries.
Both Sibiya and Seema suffered head injuries during the Varsity Football match against University of Pretoria at Tuks Stadium on Monday. Sibiya was stretched off the field after he suffered a concussion following a collision of heads with one of the Tuks forwards.
TUT Biokeneticist Prescott Mahlangu has confirmed that the duo are both available for selection on Monday.
“We are happy,” said Mahlangu. “Both players have been cleared to play on Monday.”
Meanwhile TUT Football Team goalkeeper Dumsani Msibi says he is looking forward to continue where they left off against Tuks, when the Tshwane-based side take on UFH in the Varsity Football match at TUT Stadium on Monday. Msibi was named FNB Man of the Match after he produced a number of brilliant saves to hand TUT three points against Tuks.
TUT remain unbeaten in the Varsity Football tournament so far this year, after collecting a full six points on offer.
“It is always good to win Man of the Match awards,” said Msibi. “But as I said before, credit to the whole team. We defend as a team and we attack as a team.”
“It will be a nice feeling to keep another clean sheet on Monday. We still remain unbeaten and hopefully we will rise up to the occasion again on Monday, especially playing at home in front of our own supporters,” he added.
