After safely and profitably negotiating their first five encounters, the Central University of Technology (CUT) will lock horns with table-topping Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in a match that could decide the direction of the momentum.
With both teams unbeaten, Monday’s encounter could prove to be a battle between defence and offence. While CUT have scored nine goals so far, two more than TUT, they have also conceded two more than their hosts.
In Orapeleng Manopole, CUT have a player who possesses bags of quality, flair, and confidence. Three goals and a hat-trick of man-of-the-match performances justify the 23-year-old’s impact. More importantly, however, will be defensive solidarity led by stalwart Bongani Matsemela. After keeping two clean sheets in the opening rounds of the Varsity Football showpiece, CUT have gone on to concede five goals in the last three matches.
Any attempts to topple the favourites and table-toppers will largely rely on an organized defence, unerring quality and finishing off any chances created. In the same vein, CUT have more than proven that they are no pushovers; TUT may be the ones who need to watch their backs.
Kick-off at the TUT Stadium in Tshwane is at 18:30. New place to play funny games at http://roulette-en-ligne.ca/.
