The beautiful Camps Bay strip will be the setting this weekend as Varsity Sports ends the year with three days of explosive Sevens and Beach Volleyball action.
This celebration of explosive action in the ultimate beach setting is brought to you by sponsors FNB, Cell C, Steers and Samsung who have gone all out to deliver a world class event.
The action will kick off on Friday morning, with ten Varsities doing battle in the two sports until the respective champions are crowned on Sunday evening when the festival comes to an end.

Varsity Sevens Rugby
Defending champions Maties will face some fierce competition as they look to retain their title at the Camps Bay Sports Club. A new rules innovation will feature a ‘powerplay’ which will be strategically called by the coach and give the teams one minute in which any points scored will count double.

Finals day: Top four teams after the first two days will contest the Cup and next four will play in the Plate, with the last two going into a wooden spoon play-off..

Varsity Beach Volleyball
UWC did not lose a single game as they stormed to the inaugural title last year, so they will have a target on their backs as the other teams look to close the gap. Matches are played to a time limit of two ten-minute halves with one tactical substitution allowed in each game.

Finals day: Place play-offs will be played according to log positions after the first two days with the top four contesting the semifinals.
