Varsity Athletics will get underway with the inaugural meeting at the Coetzenberg Stadium in Stellenbosch on Monday, April 15.
The ground-breaking event will see teams of 26 athletes from eight different Universities compete in nine different events as Varsity Athletics takes its first steps.
The meetings will be conducted under the rules of IAAF and ASA, and athletes will earn points for their team according to their placing.
Each athlete will only be able to compete in one individual event and one relay, with nine points available for first place in each event.
Second place will earn seven points, with the value of each place decreasing by one each up to eighth place which is worth a single point.
