Limpopo’s Moloko Clyde Kgatla made a big impression on his Varsity Football debut, claiming the Samsung Super Striker award against NWU.
The 22-year-old gave the visitors a surprise lead in Mafikeng on Monday with a swerving free kick that found the back of the net, and although his side would go on to lose the game 3-2, Kgatla was still very happy with his performance.
“Winning the Samsung Super Striker title in my first game against North West University is my best moment at the Varsity Sports tournament so far,” he said.
The Bachelor of Education student said that although he would like to play for Premiership side Orlando Pirates, his long term goal is to become a school principal.
Like a true Bochum born man, Kgatla certainly loves his pap and meat and he would like to drive around Limpopo with the latest VW GTi when he receives his first salary.
His role model is Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, “because he fought for the freedom we enjoy today,” said Kgatla.
The Sepedi speaking man does not like talking too much. He prefers to sit back and to listen.
The goal scoring machine would like to go on a vacation to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and he listens to music in his spare time.
