Defending champions Kovsies are on the hunt for a record fifth Varsity Netball title in 2022 and have left nothing to chance, roping in the help of current and former Protea players Khanyisa Chawane, Karin Venter, Karla Pretorius and Maryke Holtzhausen in their coaching setup.
With their first three matches taking place in Pretoria (17-19 September), the Free Staters will close out the round-robin stage of the 2022 Varsity Netball tournament in front of their home crowd in Bloemfontein (2-3 October).
Coach Burta de Kock says a hectic netball programme has helped to prepare the players for what is expected to be a tough Varsity competition.
“We managed to work out different combinations and we are very excited to get another crack at it. We are grateful to once again play netball at full strength.”
