TUT will have to dig deep from their reserves if they hope to beat NMMU and stage a major Varsity Netball upset on Monday.
TUT received a baptism of fire when they were beaten 70-27 by Maties in Stellenbosch.
Their coach Mninawa Ndaku is hoping for a change of fortune when they visit Port Elizabeth for their battle with one of the big guns in netball at tertiary level in South Africa.
Ndaku has since promised the Madibaz a ‘no walk over’ against them.
“They are physical, strong and can leave opponents feeling intimidated,” said Ndaku.
“We have not been picking up good results in our games but giving up is not an option. We are going to go to the game with our heads up and NMMU should not expect a walk over,” he added.
Ndaku has attributed their. poor performance in the past few games to fatigue amongst his players.
“We are travelling lot and it is taking toll to the players. But we are trying to keep the spirit high and positive in the team,” he said.
