Maties marched to a comfortable 70-27 victory over TUT who were outclassed in Stellenbosch on Monday.
The home side took control of the game from the outset, moving the ball around well and forcing TUT to chase the game.
At the end of the first period Maties had established a 15-6 advantage, and that lead had inflated to 38-12 at the half-time break.
TUT battled to keep up with the pace of the game and found themselves under some serious pressure in the second half as Maties dictated matters to take a 55-15 lead into the final period.
With the bonus point in the bag the home side cruised to what was a comfortable victory.
Maties travel to Bloemfontein next week for what should be a blockbuster clash with UFS Kovsies whilst TUT will be in Port Elizabeth to face the NMMU Madibaz.
