NWU-Pukke saw off the challenge of NMMU in Potchefstroom to maintain their unbeaten Varsity Netball status.
The match got off to a tense start as the sides traded goals and fought hard for possession.
Although the Madibaz were in determined mood, the class of the home side and the support of a packed crowd saw NWU wear them down.
Pukke established a cushion and took a 15-11 advantage into the first break which stretched to 34-21 by half-time as NMMU started falling off the considerable pace.
The visitors staged something of a fight back in the final period as they started to find some rhythm, but it was not enough to stop Pukke from claiming a bonus point as the home side sealed a 57-38 victory in the end.
Next week Pukke will welcome UJ to Potchefstroom and NMMU will be back at home in Port Elizabeth where they will take on TUT.
