UFS-Kovsies took no prisoners in their record 89-13 Varsity Netball demolition of UCT on Monday.
The home side had the bonus point wrapped up by half-time, and kept the pressure on until the final whistle to record a crushing victory.
After bolting out of the blocks Kovsies established a 28-3 advantage at the end of the first period, and kept the pressure on to lead 54-7 at half-time.
UCT battled to deal with the speed and physicality of their opponents, but despite the tough examination they kept pushing right to the end.
With their Protea players in fine form Kovsies continued to pile the pain on the visitors and ended with a crushing 89-13 victory as Ane Botha, who has just been called up to the Proteas squad, walked off with the FNB player of the match award.
Kovsies will be looking to make it a Cape double next week when they host Maties, whilst UCT will look for their first victory when UP-Tuks travel to Cape Town.
