NWU Soccer Institute coach Thabo Makalakalane is still confident that his boys will bounce back in the Varsity Football semifinal clash against UP-Tuks on Monday.
Despite losing against the same team for the third consecutive time on Monday, the former Bafana Bafana star remains confident.
“This game is a do or die for my boys. Our reputation is at stake here. Come Monday we are prepared to die on the pitch to avenge our three losses against University of Pretoria,“ said Makalakalane.
“All the four remaining teams in this competition would like to reach the final and ultimately win the championship, but my boys are more hungry than their counterparts,” he concluded
.
The two teams face each other after Tuks won 1-0 in the last dying minutes of the game of their clash in Mafikeng last week.
The winner between the two teams will play in the Varsity Sports football final against the winner between TUT and NMMU.
This game game will be televised live on Supersport 229.
