The TUT ladies side have declared war against the University of Limpopo who they will meet in a Varsity Football semifinal in Pretoria on Monday.
The match will be played as a curtain-raiser to the big Varsity Football semifinal between TUT and NMMU, with the other ladies semifinal taking place at Tuks where the home side will face UJ.
TUT are going to the match as hot favorites to win the tournament after being crowned as the SASSU football Champions in Cape Town last year, whilst Limpopo finished fifth.
TUT Ladies coach,Tebogo Mokae says he has done his homework and declared his team ready to kick off the tournament in great style.
“We are more than ready, I saw them during the Club Championship in Cape Town last year and tried to pick up information about them this year,” he explained.
“I have gathered that they are not a bad side and we hoping for a great game on Monday,” he added.
TUT boast a number of international players including Banyana Banyana duo of Sanah Mollo and Mary Ntweng.
“We also have ,Zanele Chiya,Emily Mogothle,Ledago Madiba,Mahlatsi Mogoma that have also played for Banyana Banyana.We will definitely count on their experience but we also have lot of exciting young players that also deserve to show their talent at the highest level,” said Mokae.
