TUT is ready to continue with their fine form when visit the University of Western Cape in the Varsity Football match in Bellville on Monday.
The TUT side is currently on cloud nine after stunning Tshwane rivals the University of Pretoria who demolished 4-1 in their own backyard on Monday.
The Tshwane based team is now hoping to continue with their rich vein of form when they invade the Mother City on Monday.
TUT Midfielder Sizwe Khumalo believes that the game against UWC will be tougher than the one played against University of Pretoria recently. However, Khumalo is confident that his team will triumph again in Cape Town on Monday.
“No one gave us a chance against Tuks but managed to come back with the three points. I believe the game against UWC will be more tougher.
”They remain a closed book but if we can go there with the same attitude and commitment we displayed against Tuks, I am confident that we will come back with another victory from Cape Town,” he said.
The KZN born midfielder was also on target when TUT beat UP-Tuks 4-1 in their first game of the Varsity Football Cup played in Tshwane on Monday.
“It is always nice to score goals but what is most important is the team’s win than individual accolades” . If I get another chance to be on the score sheet against UWC will be happy but the most important thing is to get the three points,” he added.
TUT remain second position on the Varsity Football log with the same number of points with UNW Mafikeng who are currently sitting on the summit of the log with better goal difference.
