We asked NWU’s Jessica du Plessis some questions for you to get to know the Wing Attack and Goal Attack better.
Who inspired you to play netball?
I grew up in a sporty family so we started from a very young age, both my parents played sport so it came naturally and they never forced me into any sport so I chose netball.
Describe your life using the title of a movie?
Just Go With It.
If you could eat any three foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?
A piece of medium-rare filet mignon steak, sushi and my mom’s mutton curry.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
My mom and my cellphone.
If you were guaranteed to be successful in any profession, what would you choose to do?
Become a sports scientist.
How would your team mates describe you?
They’ve said that I’m very hard working, I never give up, I’m always ready for a challenge and in general a fun, go with it person.
Describe this Varsity Netball season in one word?
Exhilarating.
