The mood in the UWC camp remains buoyant and they are still aiming for one upset during this competition. Most importantly, they are confident that they are growing as a team and will only get better the more experience they gain by exposure to the biggest teams in the country.
On Sunday they battled hard against the NWU and at half time they had the team from the north worried. The NWU used their power play to their advantage and ended up thumping UWC 93-61. This also probably in part due to experience and more depth in the respective squads.
Despite the loss, the team from the Cape are proud of their performance against the two-time finalists and are looking forward to their next match against the University of the Free State.
? Don't write off UWC just yet – they are still full of gees! Can they upset Kovsies tonight? #ShowYourColours pic.twitter.com/NjohaN6IL5
