UJ’s Ntokozo Ramaremisa states that despite having had a disappointing season, they are still as committed to their cause and she only has positive aspirations for her team approaching the conclusion of the season.
The Auckland Park side have yet to register a point and have struggled against their counterparts, with their most recent loss against UWC adding on to their woes.
Ramaremisa reflects on their last fixture.
“I think we played well against UWC and looking at it from a defensive perspective, we really came together as a team. We just had a problem when it came to the power plays, most of us dropped our shoulders and lost it from the second quarter. “
The Goal Defender believes their squad needs to pick themselves up mentally as they head into their last match.
“With VUT, we plan on taking it step-by-step and giving it our all. Emotions aside, we want to play hard as a team and we have spoken and everyone knows what they need to do moving forward. We’re just going to follow the coach’s instructions and remain positive.”
Ramaremisa said they still have what it takes to compete and will be focusing on next year’s tournament.
“One thing we need to change is our mindsets because we become negative fairly quickly. First quarter we give it our all but if we are losing or battling with our mistakes in the second quarter, we just switch off and go back to zero.
“So for now, we are just going fix everything and for our next year’s goals, we aim to work harder and give it our all.”
