With one round to go we learned a few vital things before the final round. Here they are.

Tuks are making a late bid for the semis
Will Tuks make the cut for the semi-final? The answer to that question will be provided in their remaining two matches. They seem to have recovered from their poor start and are slowly making their way to the top half of the table. Tuks have the experience and the team to achieve a top-four finish and there are encouraging signs that they are on the right track.
NWU are capable of anything
Who could have thought that NWU would go to Joburg and conquer it? Few would have given them the chance to upset the high-flying Orange Army at home but they did it against all odds. Their 3-0 victory over UJ was without a doubt the biggest result of Round Six. But now can they kick on to secure a semi-final finish? NWU are the team of Round Six and their outcome was a result of sheer brilliance.
TUT are becoming invincible
Who will stop them in their tracks? TUT are unstoppable and they are still unbeaten. This team is in a league of their own. They are enjoying every moment of the Varsity Football’s fifth edition. With just one match to go before the mini league rounds ends they still look invincible and they are not showing any signs of slowing down in their march to a second successive title.
CUT mean business
CUT have punched above their weight this year. They are still standing and in with a perfect chance to book a semi-final spot. Who thought that they could still be still at this stage of the season? Well, they have earned their stripes and indicated that they mean business. Whether they make the semis or not, they will look back on their participation as a successful one. They have demonstrated that they can swim with the big boys
