UP-Tuks bounced back from their opening day defeat to hosts Kovsies by beating Wits 5-0 in Blomfontein on Sunday.
The Pretoria outfit started the match in dominant style, and Kate Koenig managed to open the scoring with a brilliant turnover and excellent finish.
It was 2-0 at the first break after Jenny Shuker scored from a penalty corner, and Tuks looked in complete control.
In the second period Tuks refused to drop the intensity and were rewarded when first Taryn Moses got on the scoresheet and then Lillian du Plessis tucked another one away from a penalty corner to make it 4-0.
Wits showed great determination to tighten things up in the third chukka, and even forced two penalty corners of their own but could not convert their opportunities.
Du Plessis grabbed a fifth goal for Tuks with eight minutes left to play to cap a resounding victory for her side.
