Defending Varsity Football champions UP-Tuks will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they host Wits on Thursday.
In the absence of coach Evangelos Vellios, who has been in Ireland on a UEFA coaching course, the Pretoria side claimed wins over NMMU and WSU which have put them firmly in the mix for the play-offs.
Things have been a little tougher for Wits who have slumped to consecutive defeats to NWU-Pukke and TUT in the last two rounds, and with just four points to their name the clash with UP-Tuks is a must-win if Wits are to keep their play-off hopes alive.
However, they are sure to have their work cut out for them against a UP-Tuks side that has had a break of 10 days and will be playing in front of their home crowd.
The visitors will have to be far more ruthless in front of goal, with just a single goal to show for their efforts this season, so they are likely to take the game to UP-Tuks.
Defeat for UP-Tuks will be a major setback in the run-in to the play-offs, so they will be after a controlled performance to take some vital momentum into the business-end of the season.
Prediction: Wits will come out firing, but UP-Tuks are fresh and on form so we expect them to take this one by two goals.
