Having gone down 4-3 to Gauteng rivals UP-Tuks on Friday, the Johannesburg side bounced back well to record a valuable victory.
The first quarter of the match was very tense, with neither side able to manufacture a goal, but UJ were able to break to deadlock in the second quarter to take a 1-0 lead into half-time.

The Pretoria side had to work hard for their 4-3 victory over UJ on Friday, but had things much easier on Saturday as they brushed UCT aside.
They wasted no time in establishing a lead, with two goals in the opening quarter, and the goals kept coming as they took a 4-0 advantage into the half-time break.

NMMU 2-2 Wits
Wits got an early goal to grab the lead against the Madibaz, and held out against the determined Eastern Cape side to take a 1-0 lead into half-time.
NMMU regrouped well though, and in a heated second half which saw both sides shown cards they fought their way back.
Two unanswered goals meant that NMMU had the ascendency heading into the final stages, but Wits were not done and scored a dramatic late goal to secure a hard-fought draw.
Wits will take heart from their gutsy performance after their defeat to defending champions Maties on Day One, while NMMU were left disappointed with the draw which follows their victory over UCT on Friday.
