UP-Tuks put in a dominant performance which secured a bonus point 84-22 victory over VUT to remain unbeaten in the competition .
Tuks came out the stronger of the teams in the first quarter and grabbed an early lead but VUT never allowed the game to get away from them and fought back to reduce Tuks’ lead to 14-13 at the break.
Tuks came out in the second quarter and stamped their authority on the match. The attack on the VUT net was relentless as the Pretoria ladies raced into a commanding 41-13 lead at the halftime break.
There was no stopping Tuks in the third quarter as they stretched their lead to 64-19 despite the best efforts of the VUT ladies.
The damage was already done for the Pretoria ladies as they took their foot off the gas in the final quarter but took advantage of the powerplay which saw them cruise to 62 point victory.
