The time has come for the fairer sex to take centre stage in Varsity Football when UJ, UFS, TUT and UWC compete to be crowned champions of 2014.
UJ are back to defend the title they won last year after demolishing TUT 6-0 to be crowned inaugural champions. However, they only managed to finish third at USSA Nationals.
TUT will be coming into the tournament full of confidence following their triumph at USSA Nationals and will be going all out to claim the double.
The early match kicks off at 16.00 in Soweto when defending champions UJ host UP-Tuks in a Gauteng Derby that will be played as a curtain raiser to the men’s semifinal between UJ and UFS.
USSA champions TUT will be up against UWC in Mafikeng. Kick-off will be at 19.00 following the first mens semifinal between NWU and UP-Tuks.
TUT and UWC will have the pleasure of playing in front of a massive Mafikeng crowd who is sure to flock to the NWU Stadium for both the mens and ladies matches.
