Kovsies coach Godfrey Tenoff has returned from his trip to Brazil where he represented South Africa at the INAS Championships.
The South African intellectually impaired team made it all the way to the final where they lost 4-2 against Saudi Arabia.
“What an honour it was to represent my country at such an amazing tournament. Brazil was so welcoming and it was great to see that they are such a soccer loving country,” said Tenoff.
“I’m happy to be back safe, and I can’t wait to be coaching the Kovsie team again,” he added.
With regards to Monday’s game against NWU Tenoff has been forced to make some changes to the team.
“Due to the suspension of Jarred Meyer and Dumisani Tjemolane and an injury picked up by Tseou Mphezulu, we have to make some careful decisions based on the game taking place next week,” Tenoff said.
This game means qualification for the Kovsie team and could lead to their overall victory of the tournament.
“A lot is at stake for this match, so I feel this game will probably be the toughest of them all.”
Tenoff will be working hard to ensure a fully equipped team and to prepare them well for the upcoming match.
