Kovsies assistant coach Tebogo Motsamai says spirits in the camp are high after their 2-0 victory over UCT.
The Bloemfontein side kept their play-off hopes alive by beating the bottom-dwellers from the Cape in a tense match on the Green Mile.
Two goals in the second half saw Kovsies claim the three points to leave themselves firmly in the play-off hunt ahead of their final league fixture at home against the unbeaten NWU next week.
“A 2-0 triumph against the Cape side couldn’t have brought our spirits up more,” said Motsamai. “I felt a sense of pride with the team, especially since we weren’t on home turf.”
Motsamai added that he couldn’t be more thrilled with the team’s performance, since they have been improving over the past week.
“The held the ball nicely during the game, they were very composed.
“The players have been working hard during their training sessions the past week, they have been very humble and have been on their A game I would say,” he commented.
Motsamai added that looking back on the game he wouldn’t want to make any changes and he most definitely doesn’t regret any of the strategies they implemented.
More than happy that they won the match, Motsamai says that he is looking forward to the arrival of the coach Godfrey Tenoff today. He can’t wait to see the team flourish even more.
