After a very disappointing loss against NMMU, the Kovsies team wasn’t too impressed with themselves to say the least.
Assistant coach Tebogo Motsamai couldn’t be more flabbergasted at the team’s performance after they went down 4-0 in front of their home fans on Monday.
“I really expected a win from today’s match, especially because it was a home game,” said Motsamai with bewilderment.
Motsamai added that the team prepared well the past week and he was confident about their performance on the training field,
“They didn’t have the needed urgency to win this time around.”
Motsamai said that opportunities were missed, especially in the first 20 minutes of the match.
“NMMU used their chances very well in the first half, that’s where I think we lacked.”
Motsamai says that he hopes to have the team better prepared and mentally ready for the upcoming matches.
“I really want us to win for sure next time.
“I will definitely be changing the starting line up for the next game, to maximize diversity and hopefully get back on track again. We need to stay positive for the next few matches.”
